We’re based on the North Kent coastline in the small market town of Faversham.
I offer a fun, dynamic learning space whether you choose an online storytelling course or an in-person immersion programme. I honour and value everybody who comes on my courses whether you are English language learners or language teachers. I want to give you an unforgettable experience which will enhance your capacity to express yourself in English. For teachers and coaches, to give you fresh ideas and renewed energy to take back into your learning space whether that’s online, in person, one-to-one or groups.
The courses are a supportive and safe environment to explore and develop English through storytelling, the practices of theatre and the creativity and spontaneity of improvisation
For English language learners, you will be encouraged to use the language you know imaginatively to tell stories and help you to further develop those skills. So, that you’ll have your audiences sitting on the edge of their seats, laughing with joy or empathising at the situations you describe. Your audience may be a board of directors or a group of colleagues sat around a table in a restaurant or for language teachers a class of teenagers.
At English with STILE, language is more than just grammar and vocabulary — it’s about self-expression, finding your own unique voice, building connections, trust and confidence.
The theatre practices will enable you to authentically step into different roles and scenarios, enhancing your pronunciation, intonation, and body language. Practice those all-important interviews, presentations or team meetings in a non-judgemental environment where you can make mistakes, try again and build ownership and comfort in your English-speaking voice. Essentially my courses give you a rehearsal space to practice what you need to do in life.
Improvisation games and exercises are not only fun, but they enable you to think on your feet but also know that you can think on your feet in English and not just survive but thrive.
