First 90 minute Session – Outline
In this workshop, we will look at structuring and the defining moments in good storytelling.
We will identify useful language to move a story forward. Language that will help shape any stories you or your language learners need to tell.
We will explore five games:
- Word by word storytelling in a group
- Sentence by sentence storytelling in a group
- Creating a parable
- Building a story using key phrases
- END-Emotion, Narrative, Detail
You will have the opportunity to explore the games and how they work as a whole group.
Throughout the session, you will be asked to reflect on how it works in your context.
At the end of the session, you will be asked to go and trial the material with a group you’re working with and bring back feedback to the second session.
Second 90 minute session – Outline
in the second session, you will:
- Feedback
- Bring back a story to the group using the structures taught in session one.
- Be provided with additional games around word association and disassociation.
